For us in Melbourne, we had months in and out of isolation! This has had a profound impact on our dogs lives.
While dogs can provide emotional support and company in isolation, they benefit as well from the increased attention and presence of their owners. However, life after lockdown needs to be considered too. As restrictions are lifted and people return to work, our dogs may suddenly be spending more time alone – big changes to their daily routine can be confusing and stressful. Fortunately, there are plenty of measures we can take to help our furry companions adjust to this change. Let us help you, help your dog!

Do you need a behaviour assessment on a potential rescue dog for your family?
Individuals looking at adopting a dog from a shelter/rescue group
Behaviour assessments are used to create a profile of the individual dog and its suitability to you family and lifestyle.
Assessments are not pass or fail based, rather a tool to allow for observations of behaviours and patterns of response to help create a profile for each dog that can provide a better understanding of the individual dog and its suitability to your home.
Benefits of behaviour assessments:
Evaluates suitability for rehoming
Ensuring the dog is rehomed to the correct household match
Identifies areas where rehabilitation may be required
Identifies problematic patterns of responses – ie., potentially dangerous behaviour
Provides behaviour modification recommendations. This will let you know if this is something you are prepared to take on
